12 Great Movies That You'll Never Watch Again (And Why)

What It€™'s About: A biographical survival drama, Danny Boyle€™s 127 Hours follows the story of real life canyoneer Aron Ralston as he suffers an unfortunate, and potentially life-threatening slip whilst out on a run. After stumbling down a slot in the isolated Blue John Canyon, Utah and trapping his arm between a loose bolder and the canyon wall, Ralston makes a video diary of his efforts to free himself and save his life.

Why It€™'s Great: James Franco has had some hit and miss films out over the past 10 years, but this was one that hit hard. The idea of pretty much an entire movie of Franco with his arm pinned beneath a rock doesn€™t necessarily get the blood pumping, but Danny Boyle€™s use of cut scenes and trippy, thirst-induced special effects are enough to break up the picture and keep you glued throughout. You€™re really rooting for the guy by the end, making this simple picture a big triumph.

Why You'€™ll Never Watch It Again: When push comes to shove, there€™s only one way James Franco is leaving that place alive €“ with one arm. In one of the most cringe-inducing moments in recent film history, Ralston uses a blunt camping knife to hack through his own arm, breaking the bones before cutting through the skin and muscle and slicing through the nerves. You shudder even thinking about it, never mind seeing it all over again.
