5. The Miseducation Of Cameron Post

Leave No Trace
Parkville Pictures

This drama about a gay conversion camp is yet another little-seen hidden gem. It's a sensitively-told and painfully uncomfortable viewing that packs an emotional wallop and is full of fine performances. Perhaps best of all, it's a long-awaited return to form for lead actress Chloe Grace Moretz after years of bad movies.

Still, due to the deeply unsettling subject it covers and the chillingly realistic and disturbing way in which it depicts life at a gay conversion camp, Miseducation is not an enjoyable film at all. As such, a second viewing is out of the question.

As well as this, as is sometimes the case with these low-key independent films, there wouldn't necessarily be all that much to gain from a second viewing due to the film's stripped back nature.
