Meeting a significant others parents for the first time can be awkward. This is especially true if meeting the parents precedes any actual date. For Lois Lane, however, meeting Clark Kents biological father, Jor El, was extremely beneficial. It was the consciousness of her perhaps eventual space father-in-law that helped her escape General Zods ship. The mere idea of a Lois Lane/Jor El team up is pretty incredible. The cool factor of the concept is then exceeded by the execution. Lois Lane follows Jor Els step-for-step guidance to avoid attacks from Zods Kryptonian brethren and work her way through the ship to an escape pod. Lois and Jor El werent entirely successful, as an assist from Superman was needed due to the damaged escape pod, but the sequence remains one of Man of Steels highlights.
