12 Greatest MCU Moments Of 2021
6. Andrew's Redemption (Spider-Man: No Way Home)
Each and every Peter Parker that came together in No Way Home still had their own uniqueness, and their own story to tell. They were tragic, with Tobey losing Ben, Harry, and the entire saga with MJ, and Tom losing Tony Stark and just moments before, Aunt May. It was Andrew who arguably suffered the most from his story, however.
During his battle with Harry Osborn in the Clock Tower, he failed to save Gwen Stacey’s life, and took her death on his own conscience as his fault. In the years since, he had clearly been dealing with this PTSD, and not necessarily in the best way. Though he continued on as Spider-Man after the death of his love, he became bitter and resentful.
Yet, when the time came for him to become a hero again, he was ready to stand up and be counted, and it came in the most poetically beautiful way. MJ, much in the same way as Gwen before her, found herself falling to what would have been her death. Her own Peter Parker was incapacitated, leaving Peter 3 to rescue her like he couldn’t for Gwen.
As soon as they landed safely on the ground, Peter got incredibly emotional, and so did everyone watching. This was his redemption. The other two Peters told him he was amazing, and they weren’t lying.
