12 Greatest Monsterverse Movie Moments (So Far)

10. Kong: Skull Island - Hank Returns Home

King Skull Island
Warner Bros. Pictures

The Monster-Verse isn't exactly known for emotional character moments, but there are still a few awesome ones lurking in there.

This one comes at the very end of Skull Island. Hank Marlow (the ever-dependable John C. Reilly) has been stranded on Skull Island for 30 years and when the film's characters leave the island, he is able to go with them and finally return home.

In a mostly-silent pre-credits scene, Marlow arrives at the house of his wife, who had assumed he was dead, and meets his adult son for the first time as well.

A seriously touching and entirely deserved ending for one of this franchise's finest characters, this ending won't fail to leave the majority of viewers with a warm smile on their faces.
