12 Hidden Horror Movies You’ve Probably Never Seen
11. Severance
Coming from future Triangle director Christopher Smith (which is another underrated horror gem, but that's one for another day), 2006's Severance is a minor miracle: a horror comedy satire which is genuinely sharp, funny, and scary.
Following a squad of bickering office lackeys on a corporate retreat who stumble into the wrong territory and begin being picked off one by one by masked locals, this tense and terrifying flick could be easily sold as "The Office meets Deliverance", and if you'll excuse the pun, it does deliver on that promise.
But there's a spikier sense of bleak black humour which elevates this a cut above most horror comedies and ensures the flick is more memorable than just a great premise.
