Easy Rider star/ legendary hippie turned right wing reactionary Dennis Hopper may have appeared in the widely hated Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2, a cartoony comedy horror which sapped the original flick of its unrelenting brutality in favour of goofy laughs, but legend has it the actor abhorred the finished flick.

However, he did admit he loved making it, going so far as to cut his fiftieth birthday cake on-set with one of the eponymous weapons.
