A few years ago, the prospect of a Wonder Woman movie out-grossing a Superman movie would've seemed laughable, but the mixed reception to Man of Steel and effusive general praise for Wonder Woman no doubt helped Diana defeat Clark Kent at the box office by well over $100 million so far.

Above all else, this proved that the character will be a cornerstone of the DC Extended Universe moving forward, and thankfully shouldn't be taking a backseat to the more well-established cinematic superheroes like Batman and Superman.
