10 Incredible Movies With TERRIBLE Villains

6. Lyutsifer Safin - No Time To Die

Serving as Daniel Craig's swan song in the Bond saga, it goes without saying that No Time To Die was hyped to high heaven.

Rather than playing it safe, the 25th Bond instalment broke many staples in the franchise. No Time To Die was the first entry to portray 007 as a father. If that wasn't shocking enough, it also marked the first time 007 has died. Thanks to the emotional storyline, terrific stunts, and Craig's superb performance, the epic spy thriller was a satisfying end to the Bond reboot series.

Too bad Lyutsifer Safin (Rami Malek) is at the bottom of the barrel when it comes to Bond villains. Even though he makes a massive impression in the prologue, the scarred scientist disappears for almost two hours, to the point where it's easy to forget about him.

Safin should've been depicted as a sympathetic villain, especially after his horrifying backstory was explored in depth. Instead, the master terrorist comes across as bland, due to Malek's low energy and monotonous line-delivery.

On top of that, his grand scheme doesn't make sense. If he hates SPECTRE for terrorising the world, why is he using their resources to commit global genocide?

Since this is the last time this incarnation of James Bond will ever be seen, he deserved a much better nemesis.
