12 Marvel Cinematic Universe Easter Eggs Phase 3 Needs

6. The Defenders

While Coulson is the TV element that needs addressing the most by nature of being a character created for the movies, there's also the blind elephant in the room who's viciously beating up all of your hired goons. Daredevil is a comic book icon, created mere months after The Avengers debuted, and for him to be completely ostracised from the big screen MCU because he's a massive hit on Netflix really doesn't gel. Obviously getting Charlie Cox, Krysten Ritter, Mike Colter, Jon Bernthal and whoever they get to play Iron Fist into the movies would be a mammoth task - ignoring the logistics of coordinating different actor's schedules, they (probably) signed simple TV contracts, so any proper movie appearance would require lengthy renegotiations - so having an Avengers/Defenders team-up is off the cards, but there's every possibility to further establish the stellar Netflix series within the universe by having the copious references to violence in New York go both ways. It's not like the MCU doesn't have an big screen vigilante adventure set in New York City where this could feasibly happen primed either; it would take minimal effort for Spider-Man to acknowledge how he's not the only dressed up crimefighter around, make some passing reference to crimelord-cum-mayoral candidate Wilson Fisk or run past Nelson And Murdock in his stand-alone adventure next year. Heck, Charlie Cox could oh-so easily have a walk-on cameo as an "unnamed blind guy".
