8. What Octopus? - The Goonies

The Confusing Moment:

Right at the end of the movie, as The Goonies are celebrating their victory over the Fratellis and escape from certain death, they are interviewed by some gathered journalists. For some reason, during his interview, Data mentions that "the octopus was scary".

Perhaps because he'd been under so much pressure and through a lot of emotion, everyone just seemed to shrug it off. But what octopus, Data? WHAT OCTOPUS?!

The Deleted Scene:

Initially, there was a set-piece within the cave that included possibly the worst rubber octopus in the history of cinema. It actually made it into the initial TV version, but it was cut from all the others, making Data seem like he'd had some sort of catastrophic break from reality.
