12 Most Brutal Acts Of Revenge In Movies
10. Bottle Job - Green Street
After Frodo's quest to defeat the Dark Lord Sauron met its end, Elijah Wood, now free to pick his projects, starred in 2005's Green Street, a gripping insight into the tribal world of football hooliganism.
Taking the role of a disgraced Harvard journalism drop-out, Elijah Wood visits his sister in the English capital and soon becomes involved with West Ham United's hooligan gang. Developing a taste for the violence Wood's character, Matthew Buckner, soon becomes involved in the gang's upcoming confrontation with rival club Millwall.
Buckner's sister is, understandably, upset with her brother's new ventures, not least because it comes to pass that her now husband was the 'Major' of the firm. Her husband enters chosen bar of the firm to warn Buckner of his decision, and the leader of the Millwall gang, Tommy Hatcher, gets wind of his arrival.
Hatcher's son was killed in a fight with West Ham 10 years prior, and holds the Major responsible. As he enters the bar his eyes lock onto the Major, and after a short exchange of words, Hatcher buries a glass bottle into the Major's neck, leaving the former chief (now a docile, content family man) fighting for his life.
