9. Butt Bomb - Man On Fire

Hans Landa Ending

Though the filmography of Denzel Washington is as varied as it is gripping, the native New Yorker always imbues his characters with a sense of swagger, confidence and charisma.

The role of Creasy, a former assassin-turned bodyguard in the style of Max Payne was a perfect fit for Denzel's talents, and the film was better for it, receiving critical praise upon its release in 2004.

Creasy's oath of protection is interrupted when the girl he was tasked to oversee is kidnapped. When he gets wind of this, his past life as an assassin only adds to his ability to seek revenge. Tracking down a man he believes to be instrumental in the girls disappearance, Creasy straps him to the hood of a car and strips him down to his undergarments.

The unsettling composure in Creasy's voice and his checkered past is a frightening reminder of what he is capable of, and a short lecture on his decision to place a suppository bomb inside the suspect is a shocking, albeit satisfying turn of events.

His calm tone of voice when counting down until the device detonates serves to increase the tension of the scene as well as its brutality.
