10. Analingus Is Not Funny - Game Over, Man!

Game Over Man
Netflix

Sex is often very funny. There are noises and smells that you don't really experience anywhere else and the whole thing is entirely ridiculous precisely because most of the time it's so painfully serious and nobody is acknowledging how silly the whole process is. That seems to have been the inspiration behind the rampant vulgarity in Game Over, Man! which landed early in the year to abysmal reviews and was mostly forgotten.

What won't be forgotten is the disturbing scene in which one male hostage is forced to perform analingus on another male hostage for the LOLs. Because there's nothing funnier than forcing two people into sexual activity neither is consenting to.

It's that kind of wayward, self-congratulatory garbage that makes the film so insufferable, as if the film-makers were intent on leaving a mark and had no cares for how they did it.

NCTJ-qualified journalist. Most definitely not a racing driver. Drink too much tea; eat too much peanut butter; watch too much TV. Sadly only the latter paying off so far. A mix of wise-old man in a young man's body with a child-like wonder about him and a great otherworldly sensibility.
