There was a weird trend in 2018 movies that nobody will talk about. Well, in two 2018 movies, anyway. That trend saw two comedy movie leads - Ryan Reynolds in Deadpool 2 and Jack Black in the delightful, unappreciated The House With A Clock In Its Walls - partly turned into babies.

In Deadpool, the titular anti-hero had his legs ripped off by Juggernaut and nect we saw him, he had baby legs thanks to his regenerative health factor. It wass funny and disturbing, but it was nothing on a similar scene in the kids film with Black. Yep, kids film.

Because the director was Eli Roth, The House With A Clock... was actually surprisingly scary and very, very weird, including a scene in the climax in which the titular clock turns time back on Black and transforms him into a baby. Thanks to weird CGI (including a pee moment, of course), the sight of a baby with Jack Black's adult head is about the most haunting image ever seen in a family movie.
