12 Most Horribly Disappointing Horror Movie Villain Reveals

8. My Bloody Valentine 3D

As a standalone film itself, the bloody Valentine's Day would not have received much praise, especially since it is a remake of an old slasher film: masked assassins slaughters through a small town, the victims run away in panic leaving you guessing who is doing the killing - oh, what a joyride.

Besides that, My Bloody Valentine 3D has quite a ropy twist ending. After establishing Jensen Ackles' character (Tom Hanniger) and the killer (the Miner) as two separate entities - especially when the Miner locks Tom in a cage - the movie reveals that the Miner is actually another one of Tom's personalities and the cage-locking scene was figurative.

What's more, with its botched whodunit, and the introduction of two possible suspects, while making for a much more intriguing mystery, also make it difficult to speculate. The audience has no chance to solve the case before the final few minutes reveal everything.

On top of that, some of the red herrings flop on the floor without ever taking in any air at all. More than once the movie takes time out to throw unfounded suspicion at one of the deputies only for absolutely nothing to come of it.
