12 Movie Franchises You Didn't Realise Were Still Going
6. The Haunting In Connecticut
The Films You Know: The Haunting in Connecticut was a woefully generic but relatively successful haunted house story, being destroyed by critics but making solid returns at the box office. That was the end of the story, right? The Films You Don't: Possibly earning the award for the clunkiest sequel title of all time is The Haunting in Connecticut 2: Ghosts of Georgia, a movie that, despite being set in Georgia, still tries to mooch off the dubious plaudits of The Haunting in Connecticut to sell itself, when it has absolutely nothing to do with the original film. Unsurprisingly, the end result was terrible, yet it also made well past its miniscule $1.5 million budget back, and so a third film, The Haunting in New York, has been green-lit. At least the title seems geographically correct this time...
