12 Movie Moments Everyone Was Waiting For (That Never Happened)

8. For A Scene Where We Find Out What's In The FedEx Box - Cast Away

Cast Away is a movie about Tom Hanks stranded on a desert island, and FedEx product placement. As Chuck, Hanks, a FedEx employee, he winds up in a plane crash on a FedEx plane, and then finds himself washed up on a beach with a bunch of FedEx boxes. He opens these FedEx boxes, and uses the stuff inside to make his new life as Robinson Crusoe that all the more bearable. But he keeps one package sealed shut as a sort of motivation to survive. Thing is, most movie-goers probably spent most of Cast Away wondering what was in that last FedEx box, desperate for Chuck to, you know, open it and break the tension. When Chuck finally gets rescued, he takes the package with him and delivers it - 'cause, of course, FedEx are the best and never, ever lose your packages, movie-goers, even if they get stranded on a desert island for years. Frustratingly, though, Cast Away never reveals what's inside the box. Also: did we say FedEx enough during this entry warrant some sort of payment?
