5. How To Train Your Dragon 2 Wins The Best Animated Film Oscar
2010's charming animated flick How to Train Your Dragon was a surprise hit, such that two sequels were promptly greenlit. From what we've seen trailer-wise so far, it looks to be another delightfully heartfelt adventure romp, one that I imagine will end up capturing the hearts of Oscar voters a lot easier than something like The Lego Movie, which may turn off older voters with its hip subversion. Dragon 2, as an altogether more earnest outing, will appeal more to old-school Oscar sensibilities, and short of something amazing coming widely out of left-field, it would have to flop big time to not be in with a big chance. Of course, the award itself won't be given out until 2015, but we're going to know by the end of 2014 who it's going to, surely.
