12 Movie Sequels You Didn't Know Were Coming

Just the other week, John Fusco, writer of Young Guns (1988) and Young Guns II (1990), confirmed via Twitter that Young Guns III is currently under production, with original star Emilio Estevez returning to the role of Billy the Kid.

Both Young Guns and its sequel were very successful back in the late-eighties/early nineties, with the Western action efforts today being seen as cult favourites. In his aforementioned Tweet, in which he shared the upcoming film's poster and teased the title Alias: Billy the Kid, Fusco also hinted the involvement of Chris Pratt, Christian Slater and Vincent D'Onofrio.

The only thing bigger than sequels these days is eighties/nineties reboots, as can best be seen with Cobra Kai and the recent instalment of the Bill and Ted series, and Young Guns III will be hoping to use this trend to spark some solid box office returns.
