While the documentary released the same year, Albert Fish: In Sin He Found Salvation, is more accurate film, The Gray Man provides enough of a baseline for this bizarre story. A twisted man who spent his life indulging in wicked acts of torture, both on others and himself, Albert Fish was a rapist, killer, and cannibal, of which included young children.

The Gray Man sees Detective William King obsess over finding a missing child who was abducted, killed, and eaten by Fish. With a film-noir-style narration, the movie is more of a detective caper than a horror or thriller.

Audiences are divided over this film's portrayal of the story. While some believe that the filmmakers did a great job of creating a monster without showing the grotesque murders (especially with children involved), others wish that the film would have taken the time to revel in the more bizarre and twisted acts that made this man a killer unlike the rest.
