Video game movies have a disappointing track record to date, with only the Silent Hill and Prince of Persia adaptations being able to rise above complete awfulness, even if each still proved plenty flawed. Though the upcoming Michael Fassbender-starring Assassin's Creed movie especially has plenty of promise, it remains to be seen whether that long-stalled effort will actually deliver. A director of Nolan's caliber tackling a video game movie, any video game movie (alright, not Angry Birds...) would likely help critics and movie producers take the medium a little more seriously. Can you imagine a Metal Gear Solid or BioShock movie with Nolan's involvement? The results would be nothing short of insane. How Likely Is It?: Nolan has expressed an interest in the video game medium before (he once teased an Inception game), though there's a difference between that and actually helming a movie based on a game. Given the low esteem of the genre to date, this one's exceedingly unlikely. 2/10.
