12 Movies Everyone KNEW Were Lying

If you enjoyed the first few entries in the DC Cinematic Universe, it was something of a shock at the end of Batman Vs Superman to see Superman sacrifice himself so early and be "killed" at the end.

The follow-up team building collaboration that was Justice League opened on a world where Superman was dead and all hope was lost. That certainly seemed to be the case with the marketing for Justice League, where, despite Henry Cavill's name being all over Wikipedia and the infamous "moustache CGI incident" plaguing the internet, Superman was still hilariously cut from all trailers and movie posters.

There are so many layers to this act of cinematic deceit; the biggest one being why did DC films bother cutting Superman out of any of the trailers or promo posters when fans knew for a fact he was returning? The obvious answer was to surprise viewers with the "not how but when" model, but they knew he was coming back in THIS film.

DCEU fans (yes, we do exist) would wait impatiently in the movie theaters for the moment Kal-El is resurrected. There was no surprise, and the movie pretending it was just felt embarrassing.

I overthink a lot of things. Will talk about pretty much anything for a great length of time. I'm obsessed with General Slocum from the 2002 Spider-Man film. I have questions that were never answered in that entire trilogy!
