The third instalment of M. Night Shyamallan's superhero trilogy was highly anticipated when audiences waited watched the end of Split and discovered the secret sequel was building up to a collision between James McAvoy's The Beast and Bruce Willis' David Dunn with a little bit of Sam Jackson's Mr. Glass sprinkled in.

It was looking to be the superhero showdown the world needed, but when early set photography and trailers started emerging, observant fans became aware of two thing; the first being the severe lack of Bruce Willis in the footage, and the second being the worryingly prominent footage of scenes taking place inside the confines of the psychiatric institute or in the car park outside.

A film taking place primarily in one place isn't unwelcome, but the third film in the meta superhero trilogy pretended to tease a fight of epic proportions. Almost twenty years in the waiting since Unbreakable; but a certain level of expectations was lowered despite promises of a great fight between the three leads.

Hindsight is easy to put Glass into perspective, but before the film came out viewers knew the film wasn't going to be as explosive as its trailer suggested. Maybe that was the whole point?

I overthink a lot of things. Will talk about pretty much anything for a great length of time. I'm obsessed with General Slocum from the 2002 Spider-Man film. I have questions that were never answered in that entire trilogy!
