12 Movies Everyone KNEW Were Lying

The Jurassic Cinematic Universe (or JCU as I am now coining it) has its fans, and while eagle-eyed fans only got Easter Eggs of their beloved characters in Jurassic World, things looked like they were on the rise when early stills of Ian Malcolm surfaced on the internet for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.

It was a snapshot of the star looking dapper as ever, giving testimony in a court and fans were excited. And then the first trailer came out and it was a brief shot of that court scene, suddenly everyone suspected that Jeff Goldblum had rocked up onto set for one scene only.

Goldblum was drawn into the publicity tour for the film, he attended premieres, his name and face was attached to the marketing alongside Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard. Aside from being a bad movie, audiences were sold or at the very least lied to, that Ian Malcolm was back.

Everyone knew this was a lie, and yet the film tried to convince us that Goldblum's appearance was not only relevant but a big deal. The original three heroes are set to come back for Dominion, but maybe we should all maintain our reservations and not get our hopes up.

I overthink a lot of things. Will talk about pretty much anything for a great length of time. I'm obsessed with General Slocum from the 2002 Spider-Man film. I have questions that were never answered in that entire trilogy!
