12 Movies From 2015 That Really Shouldn’t Have Been Boring

8. Entourage

The Promise The boys are back in town, with innumerate excellent cameos and a story that warrants the big screen treatment. Basically, more of the same for the legion of Entourage fans who were never quite satisfied when it initially went away. The Problem Perhaps inflated by their own egos (and the false confidence afforded by an established audience), Doug Ellin and co sleep-walked through what amounts to just another, elongated episode. Making the move to the big screen should mean bigger stakes and bigger scope, but the only thing that seems to have grown is the swagger and the calibre of cameos (which were like a procession of self-congratulatory status symbols rather than strong narrative elements). Unfortunately, anyone seeking either a worth-while full-stop to the franchise would have been left bored (though the little meta nod at the end was quite fun).
