12 Movies In 2018 That Were Unfairly Hated

Super Troopers 2 is that movie that just wants to exist and isn't really bothering anybody, but critics wouldn't stop piling on it regardless. Just leave it alone, OK?

Though the film's 31% Tomatometer score suggests this is just another desperate, belated comedy sequel - looking at you, Dumb and Dumber To and Zoolander 2 - it's important to remember that the 2001 original only holds a 35% approval rating, and that didn't stop it becoming a cult phenomenon.

The general fan response to Super Troopers 2 has been markedly more positive, and considering that it's basically just more of the same demented lunacy as the first - though admittedly not nearly as cult-ready - it's easy to see why.

Super Troopers 2 wasn't a great movie and not necessarily even a great sequel, but it nevertheless delivered an entertainingly brainless good time, especially if you've sufficiently altered your mood beforehand.
