12 Movies In 2018 That Were Unfairly Hated

4. The Hurricane Heist

This thunderously stupid actioner from Rob "The Fast and the Furious" Cohen was predictably dismissed by most critics, but if you're in the market for some self-aware schlock that never dares to take itself seriously, you could do far worse.

This is a film where not only are the thieves attempting to use a hurricane to cover their theft, but hubcaps are used to impale bad guys, and a hurricane transforms into a literal skull-shaped cloud to taunt its victims. If you can't get onboard with that, do you even like cinema?

The Hurricane Heist is many things, but it's certainly not boring, and if can vibe with its deliciously braindead tone, this is a damn fun time, critics be-damned.

Like Super Troopers 2, it just feels wrong to pick on something this unpretentious and single-mindedly committed to its goofy premise.
