Over the course of his career, Michael Bay has, rightly so, earned a reputation for over the top action movies, full of explosions, and more concerned with style rather than substance. With the likes of Transformers, Bad Boys, and Pain and Gain in his repertoire, it's hard to argue with.
So, any Bay movie should be approached as such, because you know exactly what you're in for. His 2019 effort, Netflix's 6 Underground is no different. However, with an interesting premise and concept, and the ever entertaining Ryan Reynolds in the leading role, the movie is a whole lot of fun.
Of course there are criticisms, and those that aren't fans of the director's style. But these movies aren't ever meant to be anything more than they are, which is big, dumb fun. 6 Underground is exactly what you would expect from a Michael Bay movie, if not better than most.
