The second music biopic to appear on this list, War Machine himself has also done the rounds on the festival circuit with his acclaimed turn as jazz legend Miles Davis. Not only has he starred in the film, but directed and co-written it as well. The plot follows "journalist" Dave Brill (Ewan McGregor) as he cons his way into following Davis around. Although the film has dawned to fair-to-middling reviews (the musical biopic is, evidently, a tough nut to crack), the film has been described as undeniably cool, with Cheadle especially being touted as a spot-on Davis.
