12 Movies & TV Shows You Didn't Know Were Remade On Broadway

6. The Addams Family

Morticia and Wednesday are two iconic names associated with a true American classic, The Addams Family. Generations of die hard fans adore the comically frightening family so much, they've accepted every version and remake of the series that's come out since the original 1930s cartoon. So why wouldn't they accept a musical remake?

In 2010, The Addams Family premiered on Broadway with the all star cast of Nathan Lane, Krysta Rodriguez, and even Brooke Shields stepped into the role of Morticia for a limited time. While the show made very little impact on critics, fans adored the remake and all of its new musical numbers. "Pulled", sung by Krysta Rodriguez as Wednesday Addams is still one of the most used musical theater songs in auditions by young women.

The Addams Family lasted for twenty two months, closing in December 2011 and was followed up by a UK tour.
