12 Near-Miss Castings That Almost Improved The Marvel Cinematic Universe
2. Jude Law As Aldrich Killian
Everything about the villains in Iron Man 3 was pretty terrible. Aldrich Killian (played by Guy Pearce, who did about as good a job as could have been expected with what he was given to work with, to be fair) was an underwhelming and non-threatening main antagonist, his super-powered henchmen were no better and the less said about the Trevor Slattery Mandarin actor angle the better. However, had Jude Law got the role of Aldrich Killian, one factor would have made everything that little bit better - his on-screen chemistry with Robert Downey, Jr. The pair were perfect together in Sherlock Holmes, as the titular detective and Dr. John Watson respectively, and to see them working off each other again would have been fantastic. Law was considered for the role and we can't help but think that he would have been a better option for it.
