12 More Pairs Of Comic Book Movie Characters We'd Love To See Fighting Each Other

6. General Zod Vs Abomination

Zod Abomination Ah! An epic intergalactic battle between two military powerhouses - quite literally. General Zod has been portrayed by two different actors €“ Terence Stamp and Michael Shannon €“ in two different Superman movie franchises (along with his Kryptonian cronies who essentially have the same powers as him) and on both occasions he has been extremely formidable. Zod possesses all of the powers that Superman possesses - super-strength which was often shown to be superior to the man of steel €“ probably thanks to his more mature body €“ super-speed of a similar level to Superman, the same high level of durability as Superman, heat vision and X-Ray vision, super-powered breath and freeze breath. The Terence Stamp depiction of the character even displayed telekinetic powers, for example when he was able to levitate a police officer's gun into his hand. The fact that he was a military leader on Krypton meant that he was also generally a better hand to hand fighter than Superman and he was far more ruthless, showing no evidence of holding back when it came to his powers. His only real weakness is Kryptonite, just like Superman. Emil Blonsky was a special-ops operative of the British Army until he joined the Hulkbuster team under General Thunderbolt Ross. He was initially injected with a small dose of the previously abandoned Super Soldier Serum and later gets injected with Bruce Banner's gamma-exposed blood, causing him to transform into the Hulk-sized Abomination. The combination of the two substances granted him massively increased durability, incredible healing powers (enabling Blonsky to heal within a couple of days from having every bone in his body broken, even prior to the transformation in to the more powerful Abomination), vastly increased speed enabling him to outrun any human with severe ease, vastly increased reactions, given that he could catch a shell fired from an RPG, he could leap several stories high from ground level and of course he possessed strength to rival the Hulk and as such he could use heavy chains and vehicles as weapons. The fact that he's completely and utterly unstable in the head makes him even more dangerous. But he could well be outmatched here... Winner: Their strength and durability is quite similar, but with far superior speed, the advantage of ranged attacks (heat vision, super breath etc) and the added ability to fly - General Zod.
