12 Perfect Stories Affleck's Solo Batman Movie Must Adapt

8. The Long Halloween

Although there will inevitably be loud clamour for one of the Big Boys of the Rogues Gallery, the right director and the right talent could sell a supposedly "lesser" villain. That mentality might be embraced a bit more in light of Suicide Squad's success, which could open the door for villains like Calendar Man to take centre stage.

Again, the context is important, but if Affleck chooses to adapt The Long Halloween, we'd not only get the perfect way to introduce Calendar Man, but we'd also get to see Batman the detective again.

In the 8 films since 1989, we've yet to see anything other than incidental detective work, and while Batman v Superman was all about showcasing Affleck's physical prowess, it would be nice to see the other side of the character. Hunting the Holiday Killer (with the begrudging help of Calendar Man) throughout a year would fit that requirement, even some may balk at the idea of having another Two Face origin after The Dark Knight. The story is worth the repetition.
