12 Possible Meanings Of Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker Title
7. Kylo Ren Is Redeemed
Kylo Ren, played phenomenally by Adam Driver, has been without a doubt the best new character introduced in the sequel trilogy thus far. The performance by Driver in The Last Jedi and the in story journey the character is going on is fascinating as the battle between dark and light form a crazed war within him.
Due to the internal battles faced by Kylo and his seeming journey to unstable and uncontrollable through his murdering of Han Solo and Snoke, it seems apparent Kylo has fully turned to the dark side. This means his status as a Skywalker is often forgotten. However he very much is one.
There are many an interesting route for Kylo’s character to take in episode nine. The most predictable and arguably boring (although could be exceptional if J. J. knows what he is doing) is for Kylo to follow in Vader’s footsteps and be redeemed in the twilight of his life.
This could mean the rise of a Skywalker as the saviour of the story perhaps, or the title could simply just be telegraphing Kylo’s end and impact on what is likely to be a long and exciting journey in episode nine. An added layer of fascination and excitement in Kylo’s possible if not probable redemption is the inclusion of the Emperor in his story.
