3. Why On Earth Was Mundungus Fletcher Chosen To Be Part Of The Order Of The Phoenix?
As far as defeating Lord Voldemort goes, Harry Potter may have been the chosen one, but he certainly wasn't without help. Of course he had Ron and Hermione by his side almost the entire way, as well as the fellow students in Dumbledore's Army, and everyone else who participated in the Battle of Hogwarts.
Possibly the greatest help he received however, was from the Order of the Phoenix. Crucial to the victories in both the first and second wizarding wars, the Order was made up of incredible, heroic witches and wizards like Sirius, Lupin, and Tonks who all gave their lives for the cause. Then there was Mundungus Fletcher.
When looking at the Order, Mundungus sticks out a mile. Even though Peter Pettigrew ultimately betrayed his best friends and the group itself, at least he was a strong wizard, deemed brave enough for a place in Gryffindor. What exactly did Fletcher bring to the table?
The crooked wizarding artifact dealer brought the Order nothing but trouble, and his disapparition was the reason Mad-Eye Moody lost his life. Surely, there was someone more trust worthy, and more deserving of a place in the Order than Mundungus?
