7. Are They Bringing In Another Bigger Villain? - Star Wars Episode IX

The biggest problem with The Last Jedi wasn't that it betrayed what Star Wars was, no matter how much the staunch fans might insist it was - it was that it wrapped up too much of the story too quickly. That climax between Kylo Ren and Rey looked too much like the climax of the whole thing and for it to come two thirds of the way in was pretty jarring.

On top of that, we got confirmation that Snoke was no more than a red herring and Kylo Ren would be ascending to the role of "main villain" for the threequel. But with questions STILL over his true drive and his alignment within the Force, that seems strange - it would make more sense for him to be answering to someone else, like his idol Darth Vader.

Rumours have suggested we might see another villain added and it's probably the best approach. It's just a matter of who now.
