12 Reasons Spider-Man: Homecoming Is The Best Spidey Movie Ever
2. Peter & Aunt May's Excellent Dynamic
First things first, it's just great that Peter no longer has an Aunt May who is 40-50 years older than him, as great as Rosemary Harris and Sally Field were in the part.
As an accompaniment to a younger, more realistic take on Peter Parker as a high schooler, it was a great idea to cast Marisa Tomei as May, and though she's not in Homecoming very much, she makes her few scenes count for sure.
She's caring but not a pushover, the two actors have great chemistry together, and she thankfully isn't reduced to a damsel-in-distress role later on either.
Also, she gets one of the movie's best one-liners at the end, but of course, that would be telling...
