3. Terminator: Dark Fate

If you were to go through the previous Terminator entries in the franchise (post Judgement Day) you're sure to find some elements that were entertaining or interesting (except Genisys) but overall, it's become a tired franchise that we have to solemnly admit, needs to be put to rest.

But then again last year the release of Dark Fate changed it all. This was supposed to be another "undoing the past films" mechanism that admittedly changed the game, but was still lacking the punch we enjoyed from the earlier films.

The first teaser trailer for Dark Fate is downright brilliant. The return of Linda Hamilton as Sarah Connor was displayed in the best way possible; showing the hardcore super-mom not giving a damn as she blasts away with every big gun under the sun.

The eerie music playing over a sequence in which the (new-design) hunting Terminator splitting into two charges for a valiant new protector, the single shot of a grizzled Arnold Schwarzenegger. Everything about this trailer shows that the film is embracing change, whilst paying homage to the old. If we didn't get the film and just got this, we would have still been satisfied.

It's just a shame Dark Fate felt only 75% complete.

I overthink a lot of things. Will talk about pretty much anything for a great length of time. I'm obsessed with General Slocum from the 2002 Spider-Man film. I have questions that were never answered in that entire trilogy!
