12 Sci-Fi Movie Remakes Coming In 2020 (And Beyond)

1. Dune

Having already breathed breathtakingly beautiful life into one classic sci-fi property with Blade Runner 2049, Denis Villeneuve is currently remaking classic sci-fi Dune. Given his involvement - and that of his cinematographer Greig Fraser - we already know it's going to be a supermodel of ` film, but even more intriguingly, Villeneuve has amassed an incredible cast.

Timothy Chalamet will lead and he's joined by the likes of Dave Bautista (the most interesting wrestler turned actor so far), Rebecca Ferguson, Zendaya, JJosh Brolin, Oscar Isaac, Javier Bardem, Stellan Skarsgard, Charlotte Rampling and Jason Momoa. Honestly, if you find a more exciting cast than that anywhere in upcoming movies that isn't an Avengers movie or Rian Johnson's Knives Out, you've probably just dreamed it.

It's likely to be stunning to look at and combining that with Villeneuve's approach to characters is once again very exciting. And as long as he cuts the right balance between surface beauty and substance, which some less enthusiastic viewers of Blade Runner 2049 accused him of missing, this should truly be something great.
