12 Simple Fixes That Would Have Made Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom Awesome

9. Making Mills A Morally Ambiguous Antagonist

Benjamin Lockwood's (James Cromwell) right-hand man Eli Mills (Rafe Spall) is Fallen Kingdom's primary antagonist, and he's just a few degrees removed from actually growing a moustache and twirling it, in case you weren't sure he was a villain from the first moment he shows up.

Rafe Spall's smarmy performance is fun, but wouldn't it have been way more interesting for the series to actually introduce a more morally ambiguous villain?

Giving Mills a little shading, perhaps by showing that he does indeed care deeply for the dinosaurs but is also overcome by his own obsessive ambition, would make him a far more interesting character.

Instead, Mills is essentially a cartoon character, not unlike Vic Hoskins (Vincent D'Onofrio) in the previous film.
