5. Either Owen Or Claire Dies

There's never a moment in this film where it feels like the protagonists are in true danger or are at actual risk of dying, draining the movie of much of its potential suspense.

Well, it sure could've remedied this by having either Owen or Claire be killed in the movie's third act. Sure, it would've basically been played by shock value, but it also would've restored a little unpredictability to the series and put audiences back on their toes, rather than just accepting that the heroes will always come out unscathed.

As unlikely as it would ever be for the series to kill off an A-lister like Chris Pratt, it would've been a fantastic subversion of his death-defying antics throughout the rest of the movie, and served as a chilling reminder that nobody is safe.

If his death came at the hands of the Indoraptor, it also would've perfectly cemented how dangerous the new dinosaur hybrid actually was, while giving the vastly-improved character of Claire the ultimate motivation to take it down.
