With Thanos set to appear in Guardians Of The Galaxy and Age Of Ultron - but not as the main villain in either - it seems logical that the super-villain is going to get his moment to shine in a tentpole release of his own. The Evidence: The narrative hints in the MCU so far are the biggest clues that we're heading towards the Infinity Gauntlet arc for a future Avengers movie (possibly with the Guardians Of The Galaxy team crossing over too). We've already seen an Easter Egg appearance for the Gauntlet in Thor's universe, but that can be discounted as a tongue-in-cheek nod, but the steps towards the inevitable story climax have already began. The Gauntlet will be made up of the Infinity Gems, which have already been introduced in their new iteration (the Tesseract and the aether specifically, and possibly Loki's staff), and the Collector seen at the end of Thor: The Dark World already openly hinted that there's an agenda to bring the rest together. With Thanos appearing, it can surely only be a matter of time before the Infinity Gauntlet becomes a big thing in the MCU, especially since it's one of those threats that would legitimately destabilise the MCU's biggest hero team.
