12 Most Strongly Hinted Future Marvel Movies

9. Rocket Raccoon Stand-Alone

When he outlined his grand plan for the MCU running up to 2028, Kevin Feige hinted that spin-offs of existing properties and upcoming ones would be considered, and with the Avengers already starting with individual movies, it seemed likely that he was referring to movies for the Guardians Of The Galaxy. While Starlord might seem the best option, given the focus of the pre-release teasers, it might be his smaller, furrier team-mate who gets the treatment first. The Evidence: Again, part of the hint comes down to the fact that Marvel have filed a trademark for Rocket Raccoon, though some will suggest, no doubt, that the trademark may relate to Guardians Of The Galaxy. The obvious counter is that Marvel neglected to trademark the other individual members of the Guardians team. There's also the fact that Bradley Cooper is strongly believed to have signed a multi-picture deal when he came on board as rocket, and also that James Gunn identifies Rocket as the "heart" of his movie:
"I€™ve done a lot of studying with real raccoons and we had real raccoons come in. We€™ve done photography with them, I€™ve played with raccoons, and fed raccoons, and dealt a lot with real raccoons to get some of the behavior down, because it€™s really, really important to me that Rocket Raccoon, who is the heart of the movie, is not a cartoon character, it€™s not Bugs Bunny in the middle of The Avengers, it€™s a real, little, somewhat mangled beast that€™s alone. There€™s no one else in the universe quite like him, he€™s been created by these guys to be a mean-ass fighting machine.€
