If Marvel are serious about expanding their stable of on-screen ensembles, they could do a lot worse than introducing the Thunderbolts - the team of reformed villains - who would introduce a whole new dynamic to the The Evidence: Thunderbolts was another of the December trademarks filed, and of course Marvel now owns the film-making rights to three of the current roster of characters who have gone away and unsuccessfully made their own films, in Deadpool, Ghost Rider and The Punisher. It may be wishful thinking, but Marvel clearly have some intentions of using those figures, even if some might suggest their move to tie up the rights is no more than completism and protecting their image. And stand-alones probably aren't the way for any of those characters, making a team-up the most mouth-watering possibility. And if we're going on desires, James Gunn has already admitted on his Formspring page that he'd like to tackle Thunderbolts.
