3. Aft Nacelle? What Aft Nacelle? - Star Trek: Into the Darkness

Despite being a genius of military and strategic skill, and an all round very clever man when it came to the inner workings of Starfleet, Benedict Cumberbatch's Khan apparently knows nothing about the design of the Enterprise or using his eyes to look at spaceships. When he threatens to destroy the Enterprise, he says he will target the life support systems in the "aft nacelle," which is something of an oversight considering the fact that the Enterprise doesn't have one. Quite why Kirk doesn't just provoke him into making a fool of himself by trying to destroy an imaginary part of the ship remains to be seen. It's another case of JJ Abrams' new take on Star Trek ignoring the fundmental principles of the original, like having characters be able to use their eyes to look at the displays in front of them that clearly show the position of the nacelles on Starfleet's most famous ship.
