3. Vernon Fenwick Is A Wizard - Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
The problems with Michael Bays horrific Turtles reboot could probably take up multiples articles on their own, and picking out just one when youre faced with things as diversely stupid as mustard sandwiches, flushed ninjutsu books and 85-year-old sprightly ninjas might seem daunting. But as an indication of how dumb the movie is about even the smallest details, and not just the big science issues that it fudges almost across the board, there are two issues relating to Will Arnetts character, Vernon Fenwick that make him look like a wizard. First up, the opening shot frames April ONeil with a shaky cam shot, presumably supposed to indicate handheld camerawork of Fenwick, but then wider reveals show him standing against his car. So who was the cameraman who so swiftly disappeared? And then, when April rings him (just after he makes his mustard and salt sandwich in fact) he answers it with ONeil, despite the fact that shes calling from a pay phone and theres literally no way he could have known it was her calling.
