2. Professor X Forgets What He Heard - X-Men Days Of Future Past
Another from Singers excellent but slightly flawed sequel, and another indication that Singer wasnt quite as committed to watching the films that supposedly preceded it in the timeline, but which werent made by him. When Wolverine goes to visit Charles Xavier in full Lieutenant Dan costume hes greeted with a grumpy figure far removed from the regal poise of his older self. Hes a veteran, suffering from PTSD and in denial, robbed of his powers, and his mood is understandable, and so is his brush-off. Its just that in trying to be clever and call back to the best cameo scene in First Class, Singer (or the writers) messed up the key line. When Charles says he will give Logan the same advice he himself offered a decade earlier, he accidentally tells him to f*ck off, rather than insisting he go f*ck yourself as Wolverine actually said in First Class.
