12 Stupidest Decisions Made By Characters In X-Men Movies

1. "Let's Repeatedly Let This Attempted Genocidal Assassin Free."

Magneto is set free by Xavier TWICE in the space of one film after being caught attempting to kill the President. Twice. First he€™s busted out of The Pentagon, and later after trying to kill the entire Presidential cabinet Charles simply lets him leave. Why on Earth is this allowed to happen? If Professor X knows anything about his old friend, it€™s that he bears lengthy grudges and he can€™t be second guessed. Magneto€™s ability to manipulate metal, while tamed by Xavier, can only thrive through intense emotional concentration. Meaning, he€™s gonna build up a backlog of pain before he unleashes his next attack. An attack which is now more likely to happen as the Anti-Mutant laws have been shelved. And what of the government€™s involvement in his prior incarceration? He escaped prison, went on the run and attempted to kill a lot of innocents. As his final €œhurrah€ was broadcast worldwide, surely another government division would€™ve caught wind and sent back-ups to take him down. Or did Charles think that without his helmet, he€™s no longer poses a threat? Which other idiotic decisions by characters in the X-Men movies deserve to be on this list?
