Promised By: Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull Never has a scene of a universally adored movie franchise raised so many confused eyebrows as the infamous fridge moment of Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull. An older than we're used to Indy finds himself stranded in a nuclear test zone, only escaping irradiation by shutting himself in a lead-lined fridge, and being blasted across the desert. The franchise may not have ever been too steeped in reality, but this was an incredible flirtation with the ridiculous. Evidently, the refrigerators of 1957 were designed to withstand nuclear blasts, which leads to the obvious conclusion of Americans and their love of food... If such an invention had actually been invented, the dilemma of food keeping for months in post-apocalyptic scenarios such as The Walking Dead would be made immeasurably easier, and gone would be the day of sifting through slices of ham to find the lesser crusty ones. What else have the movies predicted would be around by now? Let us know in the comments section below.
